What is a human’s relationship to an office space? There are many people comes with different mind, and also different office spaces. So, every people has different mind to define it.
I have asked the same question to some friends who are working. Most of them says that it means just a working place for them. Everyday sit on a fixed position and repeat the working job makes people feels boring as well as lack of motivation. They just hope the time pass fast to end the boring working hours. For this, the productivity of employees will goes down due to it makes people feels do not want to stay and wants to run off from this uncomfortable environment. These becomes the common problems shared by people who work in their office space. Although these problem are face by many workers from the past till nowadays. Majority of the companies or even employers never thought to change this phenomenon, or it could say that they did not realize these phenomenon.
An office space could reflect the personality of the company, the growth potential of the business, and be an inviting, invigorating, and encouraging space for employees. Office space is a way for a business to communicate company culture and attract top talent, just like Google office.
“Architecture is really about well-being. I think that people want to feel good in a space… On the one hand it’s about shelter, but it’s also about pleasure.” – Zaha Hadid
“We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us.” – Winston Churchill
“Architecture arouse sentiments in man. The architect's task therefore, is to make sentiments more precise.” – Adolf Loos
I think that those above quotes could also apply to the spaces. I would like to choose a comfortable and flexible environment compared to the opposite one. So do everyone, I believe. Why are offices like Google Office more desired? The reasons are fun, flexible as well as feeling comfortable, just like at home. Google office purpose-free generic “thinking” areas in open-plan spaces, which encourage workers to do their thinking in the presence of other people, rather than alone. There are also provided ‘bean bag’ seating, uses bright pops of colour and varied spaces to create a workplace that will appeal to their employees and so on. I would like to working at there even work over working time. Don’t you think that this is amazing and feel the same as I?
