THORNS
Scenes with the group of trappers walking, hunting and setting a fire camp were shot in a place called Shovehouse Creek, also in the Squamish Rainforest. Thorns reflect the uncomfort and frighten.
SNOWY
It gives the feel of wilderness in snowy virgin conditions. Hunters face the unknown and survive the harsh winter wilderness.

CITY RURAL
Contrast between city and rural area. Rich society with higher leather demand in the city caused the hunter's expedition. On the other hand, native's society with lower education background, they fight and hunt to survive.

TRANSPORTATION
At 17th century, thier main transportations are relied on horses and coach.
ECONOMY
The fur trade was the industry and activities related to the acquisition, trade, exchange, and sale of animal furs in North American continent. The fur trade was one of the earliest and most important industries in North America. The fur trading industry played a major role in the development of the United States and Canada for more than 300 years. Fur-trading companies hired white frontiersmen to obtain pelts. These trappers became known as “mountain men” because they roamed through wild areas of the Rocky Mountains in search of fur.

Hugh Glass had a very strong surviving spirit that helps to overcome all his obstacles. For example, Glass is ambushed by a grizzly bear. He manages to kill her but is badly mauled. Fitzgerald (teamate) burried him into a shallow grave but Glass crawls out of the grave and walks through the wood for days.

PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE
A frontiersman(Hugh Glass) on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s fights for survival after being mauled by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. Even though he is scared and wants his trouble to be over, he must fight as long as he can grab a breath. Imbued with the authentic look and feel of the 1800s, many interactive treasures await, like wilderness survival tips, interactive maps, and animation that brings art to life. The setting and background is successfully convey the society and economy at 17th century which is cruel, harsh and the law is weak.
