What do you wish you can learn in architecture school?

As an architecture student, I would like to learn about programming and software that can help us to create and construct our idea from imagination to reality.

Architecture is not only about designing building, concept, idea, create futuristic form and facade, architecture can be everything involve in our life.

I would like to study and learn new technology to solve problem. Inspired by honogram pyramid which can create 3d illusion, I can imagine in the next 5 to 10 years, there will be 3d illusion using in communication technology, which will create an illusion of your friend and he will talk to u and stand in front of u.

Honogram pyramid create an 3D illusion by using the reflection of light from the screen of your phone.

The photo to create 3d honogram illusion in pyramid must convert as the photo above.

From my research, I found that there are some app can convert photo into this pattern and play with pyramid. This Mologram Pyramid is useless and just for fun so i have an idea to let it become useful in reality.

Transform that Mologram Pyramid into a phone cover and the pyramid can become a screen protector. To create an apps which can convert every video, and image. Let the apps function with the system of screen rotation in your phone, which means that when u are rotating your screen, your photo will be convert automatically.

Next, the apps will link to the camera and then which can capture your face and create an illusion to your friend while chating with your friend.

Camera will be on the side of smartphone, those phone developer will design it and added it in the future, or we can create a small camera install to the smartphone, connect it via wifi and apps.

From this idea, i found that there were some problem haven`t to fix. The illusion are small and which will follow the size of screen. This only function in a dark room, because other light will influence the reflection of light through the hologram pyramid.

Hologram illusion also can use in architecture study. From the video above, this is Virtual-Reality technologies. This technology must wear glasses. From my opinion, those glasses will isolate human interaction as people keep looking in their phone during gathering. For an example, will u wear a big and heavy glasses when u are dating in a cafe?

It will be better if no use any glasses in the future.

In the future by using this kind of technology, construction of architecture and interior design will more eco-friendly and save material. My idea is using light illusion to decorate the interior space and facade of building. For example, there is a cafe wish to renovate according to different design in different season. This technology can save times and no need use any material and labour. The client can change the design in every second.

To avoid the extinction of animals, this kind of illusion technology will use in zoo. No more animals will be hunted or become business of human. We also can design and create those extincted animal in the zoo and show it to our children. Example, Jurassic Park can be created one day, it is safe!

Video above showing that 3D scanning which can help architecture student to explore site and create model. This technology also can use in protecting historical architecture building which are located in ISIS and war area. After scan and analysis those historical building, we can rebuild it by 3D PRINTER.

PROJECT TANGO by Google, is an exploration into giving mobile devices a human-scale understanding of space and motion. We never found ourself lost in a new building again and the directions to a new location didn't stop at the street address.

In the future, we no need walk through those places that we wish to explore, drone can help us to scan and explore. after recording the data, Hologram Illusion can be performed more detail and clear. If need, we can print it by using 3d printer.

Combine all idea above, it is siimilar to some futuristic movie.

In the end of this lecture, I will like to learn those things which can solve human problem in architecture school. I will continue to anlysis how to create a Hologram pyramid which can expore to sunlight and join Startup Grid in KL to meet some engineer who can solve the problem. There are a lot of things to learn and kickstarter are a great platform to rise fund for creative idea.

The future is awesome, let`s build it together. Hologram illusion communication technology will be one of the future.
