He is a historian, critic, and curator in the fields of architecture, design, and fine arts.
The topic of the PAM Public Lecture held on 17th February is “ELECTRIFICATION TAKES COMMAND”. Electrification is the process of powering by electricity and is usually associated with changing over from another power source. During the lecture, Prof. Ir. Bart Lootsman talked about how technology influnced man, environment and architecure. Nowadays, manual drawing,rendering and modelling are also competerize.

By the present of technology such as computer software, robotics, construction plants and networking help to complete a building more efficient than man. However, we believe that computer network change the impossible to possible. Robotics is fundamental way to generate different shapes, deal with different forms and products, develop complex shape and increase range of production within a shorter time.

For example, Architect Zaha Hadid, the futuristic architect who pushes design through new technology and materials and never does ordinary. Her style is boldly contemporary, organic and innovative. Digital allows her to play with those "crazy" elements.

POST HUMANISM
He also talk about the post humanism. The posthuman can be defined as that condition in which humans and intelligent technology are becoming increasingly intertwined. More specifically, the posthuman is a projected state of humanity in which unlocking of the information patterns. For nstance, the possible space modes of being, the ones accessible to human beings form a tiny subset. Our biological constraints impose real limitations on what thoughts we can think, what emotions and enjoyment we can experience, and how long we can remain healthy and alive.

The relationship of human in where he gave examples on experiments of Vitruvian Man by Leonardo da Vinci in which he attempted to relate man to nature.
VILLA SAVOYE
"A machine for living"

Villa Savoye, the masterpiece by Le Corbusier which symbolise the 5 elements of modern architecture which is pilotis, roof garden, free facade, free plan and horizontal windows. It is the list of the essentials that the architect regarded modern houses must have to provide their inhabitants with healthy conditions by bringing the idea of interacting with the users with elements that make the users or occupants with elements that make their life better in daily lifestyle.
The ramp winds from the entrance up to the salon, a formal interior space that flows seamlessly into the roof terrace outside. He believed in the health benefits of fresh air and sunshine, and considered leisure time spent outdoors one mark of a modern lifestyle. The Villa Savoye’s integration of indoor and outdoor spaces allowed the family to spend time outdoors in the most efficient way possible. The house was, in a sense, a machine designed to maximize leisure in the machine age.

A HOME IS NOT A HOUSE

In A Home is Not a House, Banham attacks the North-American houses, built without a proper protection from cold and warm weather, based upon a widespread use of heating pumps, a general waste of energy and the production of an “environmental machinery”. The Environment-Bubble (transparent plastic bubble dome) inflated by air-conditioning output. In the present state of the environmental art, no mechanical device can make the rain go back to Spain; the standard-of-living package is apt to need some sort of an umbrella for emergencies, and it could well be a plastic dome inflated by conditioned air blown out by the package itself.
RELATIONSHIP NATURE EXPERIMENTS IN ECOLOGY
Architecture is not only building itself but the surrounding environment. Protection of nature is needed to show how technology takes the advantage of beautiful nature as landscape. What if we connect them together without destroying the food chain and thier habitat.
BERGISEL SKI JUMP

Zaha Hadid Ski Jump project is a good example of bringing landscape together with architecture, resulting a win win situation of making good use of the landscape and knowing the opportunity instead of destroy it.
This project greatly integrates the architecture with the nature by placing it on the Bergisel Mountain where blends in with the landscape and in the same time offers breathtaking views of Innsbruck.
During winter, artificial snow will be produced on the flatten slopes to create a breathtaking scene. The snow is also managed under the “Snow Management” done by Jules Spinatsch in which he presents his photographic series documenting ski slopes being prepared at night. Under the glare of cold floodlights, machines noisily turn nature into a tourist experience, with snow cannons at full blast and bulldozers flattening the slopes. This shows how technology can be manipulated by taking full advantage of the beautiful nature.

Electrification not only influenced architecture field but also others as well. As technology improves, it brings a lot of change to our daily life. The result of architectural electrification in modern days makes us rely on technology and it plays an important parts in our daily life. Human body is a machine; organ is a machine. Therefore, "a machine for living" is important to create a healthy lifestyle. However, architecture is capable of bringing in a new activity, and thus mixing with other existing activity to produce a totally new activity in daily lifestyle, which is highly accpreciated by the people. Technology, human and nature can definitely coexist without destroying either one if we carefully look into it. I feel it would be a great asset to the ecology and everyone will benefit from the environment to achieve the goals of not destroying the landscape but blending the nature and the man-made.
